FAQ

What does it analyse?

We fetch your repo's file tree, package.json, topics, language, and license from the GitHub API. No code is read — just the structure and metadata.

Which AI model generates the README?

Claude Sonnet — one of the best models for technical writing. It infers features from your actual codebase structure, not generic filler.

Does my repo need to be public?

Yes, for now. We use the GitHub public API to fetch repo data. Private repo support is coming with Pro.

Can I edit the output?

Yes. Copy the markdown and edit it however you like. It's yours.
